Irina Shayk’s face card never declines, and while that may be due to her Russian genes, beauty treatments never hurt. Of all the reputable spas and estheticians around the world, Shayk’s go-to is a small studio located in New York City’s Little Italy called Daphne. The spa specializes in natural beauty and body treatments and carries European beauty products that don’t require a trip across the pond.
“I love Daphne; it’s like a secret spot where you can escape and get the best facial and best face massage as well,” Shayk, 37, shares with ELLE.com. It didn’t take much more than that for me to want to go and check it out myself. Nestled on Broome Street, between Mott and Mulberry Street, if you walk too swiftly, you could easily miss this beauty gem. According to the staff, lots of models stop in for pre-NYFW pick-me-ups, too. “I’ve been going there for such a long time, and everyone is so sweet,” Shayk adds.
The “best facial” she’s referring to costs $715 and is loved not just by Shayk, but by plenty of other celebrities, including Tessa Thompson, Rita Ora, and Hilary Duff, when they are looking for glowy, bouncy skin. Referred to as the “Ultimate Facial,” the spa’s website describes the treatment as being “specifically designed for neglected and tired skin” and promises dramatic results in just one session. It consists of a customized peel application, a personalized face mask, and an eye treatment, and concludes with oxygen infusion, which helps leave your skin hydrated, brighter, and softer. In addition to the products used, Daphne’s unique technique massages and sculpts the face. Think FaceGym, but more luxurious.
And if you’re not located near New York City, worry not—you can still get Shayk-caliber skin via a suite of hard-to-find beauty products. Biologique Recherche is the skin care brand of choice for the spa; however, it also carries Environ, Vinter’s Daughter, and MBR (Medical Beauty Research), all which you can shop online. (You can thank me later.)
