Forget the Renaissance visuals—Beyoncé’s focus seems to be on building her beauty empire. Beyoncé already teased that she’s releasing a hair care line (no release date yet!) earlier in May, and more imminent, an Eau de Parfum. Today, the singer channeled her inner influencer by sharing an unboxing of the coveted scent and revealing its official name: Cé Noir.
“I’m super excited. This is my Cé Noir unboxing; it’s finally here after years of work,” she says excitedly as she shows off the silver packaging and opens the box. She explained that her plans for Cé Noir were to create something “monolithic” with “a little bit of intimacy.” The camera zooms in on the peek-a-boo design on the bottle, which has a futuristic design reminiscent of her concert stage production and slides out of a silver case.
As she spritzes on her perfume, she lets out several “Oohs” and admits she sprayed the fragrance during her Renaissance tour “a few times.”
In the caption of the unboxing, Beyoncé shared the official website for her perfume: parfum.beyonce.com. According to the site, Cé Noir will be housed in a 1.7 fl oz bottle and will cost a whopping $160. Judging from the notes, Beyoncé’s EDP will lean on the sweeter side; top notes include tangy clementine and golden honey, which offer a delectable first impression. At the heart are rose and jasmine for a floral medley that’s deepened by earthy myrrh and amber.
The news comes months after the singer announced she’s setting her sights on the hair world with what seems to be a line of hair care products. Reminiscing on her time working at her mother Tina Knowles’ salon, Beyoncé shared that she saw first-hand “how the ways we nurture and celebrate hair can directly impact our souls. I watched her heal and be of service to so many women,” she captioned the post earlier in May. “Having learned so much on my hair journey, I’ve always dreamed of carrying on her legacy. I can’t wait for you to experience what I’ve been creating.”
Beyoncé is no stranger to the world of fragrance, having previously collaborated on a series of scents, including the Heat, Pulse, and Rise scent collections.
Unlike the visuals, fans can expect to start receiving their EDP bottles in November 2023. Those who purchase the EDP will also receive a “special gift” with purchase while supplies last. Sign up to be one of the first to get their hands on Beyoncé’s Eau de Parfum here.
