Triple-threat talent Ashley Park is center stage right now, thanks to her mesmerizing dance moves, impressive on- and off-screen confidence, and undeniable sense of style. She’s a fan favorite for the infectious way she radiates positivity while empowering others to embrace their uniqueness. Ashley’s exclusive collaboration with Skechers, called Street Glam, embodies her magnetism, confidence, and boundless energy. And the shoes are downright fun.
We chatted with Ashley—who is as friendly and cool as you’d imagine—about making the most of life on the go, the wearability of the designs in her new Skechers collection, comfort, and her personal style. Here’s what she said.
Describe your collaboration in three words.
“Pointed, vibey, and essential.” As an example, the Point It style comes in five colorways—white/multicolor, black/multicolor, blush pink, white, and black. Ashley wears them everywhere: backstage, traveling—“It’s an essential in my suitcase”—and even to her sister’s bridal shower. “The look is elevated and chic,” she says of the all-weather shoes. The Point The Way design, available in two colors—black and blue contrasted midsoles and white with red and black accents—pairs perfectly with structured tailoring, blazers, and silver jewelry.
What do you wear with your Skechers?
“It sounds cheesy, but they honestly really go with everything; some of my trendiest guy friends have asked how to shop for these sneakers!” Ashley adds that while she wears heels for a lot of her characters, she reaches for sneakers in her personal style. “I love unisex fashion—loose slacks and jeans or even leggings, always with an oversize blazer,” she says. And the sneakers are equally fabulous dressed up or down, she points out. In fact, for her sister’s bridal shower, Ashley paired the blush pink Point It style with a haute hot pink dress with a little bow. “She’s getting married in September, and she asked for a white pair to wear for her wedding reception.”
Which styles are best for dancing?
“Skechers is obviously known for its comfort technology. They have so much cushion and the right amount of height, so you feel good in them, like you’re in a running sneaker.” The Point The Way design in particular conveys the actress’s confidence in executing her choreography.
If the styles from the Skechers x Ashley Park collaboration were a musical number, what would they be?
“The 11 o’clock number—cool and vibey. They would be the sexy number in the show, with a lot of hot guys and girls dancing.”
Shoes off in the house or on?
“Usually shoes off, but I will never yell at someone unless they are bringing in mud,” she says. “And I have a pair of comfy Skechers sandals that I wear around my house and around my backyard in L.A.”
